Vozač je prebrzo vozio, a u zavoju je počeo kočiti. Izgubio je kontrolu nad kamionom i sletio sa zaleđene ceste. Protutnjao je kroz dvorište, udario u parkirani automobil i zabio se u kuću u Ostritzu. Četvero ljudi ostalo je zarobljeno ispod ruševina. Izvukli su ih vatrogasci i prevezli u bolnicu.
